WP03 - Sensor Design
![]() Objectives Designing the resonator-based and delay-line type sensors/RF tags considering the actual operational conditions and working points to provide the best SAW characteristics accessible with the selected materials, designing the substrate specification, developing crystal growth process to fabricate the selected substrates. Progression and results Works operated in the frame of this work package were devoted to the development of new sensing SAW devices, on the basis of specifications from WP01 and material properties characterized in the frame of WP02. Numerical computations were implemented to model the behavior of different designs. Computation results have been compared to experimental device behavior, compliance of experimental results to modeled responses is depicted in the following figures:
Concordance between simulated and experimental characteristics highlights the capability of the simulation codes to predict responses of complicated devices. Numerical computations were implemented to design SAW devices based on materials defined in WP02 and regarding operating conditions specified in WP01. |
